Agreement to Terms
By creating an account or using JobMargin, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
Description of Service
JobMargin is a business management platform for service contractors. Features include estimates, invoicing, scheduling, customer management, profit tracking, QuickBooks synchronization, and payment processing.
Account Registration
- You must provide accurate business information
- You are responsible for maintaining account security
- One account per business entity
- You must be at least 18 years old
Subscription and Billing
- Free trial: 14 days, full Professional tier access, no credit card required
- Paid plans billed monthly or annually as selected
- Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice
- Founding member pricing is locked for the life of the account
- Cancellation takes effect at end of current billing period
- No refunds for partial months
Payment Processing (Stripe Connect)
- Contractors may connect their Stripe account to accept customer payments
- JobMargin charges a platform fee on transactions as specified by the subscription plan
- Stripe's standard processing fees apply in addition to JobMargin platform fees
- JobMargin is not responsible for payment disputes between contractors and their customers
- Contractors are responsible for their own Stripe account compliance
SMS Messaging Terms
- JobMargin sends transactional SMS messages on behalf of contractors to their customers
- Messages include estimate notifications, appointment confirmations, invoice delivery, service updates, and review requests
- Message frequency varies by service activity, typically 1-5 messages per service transaction
- Message and data rates may apply based on the recipient's carrier and plan
- Recipients can opt out at any time by replying STOP
- For help, recipients can reply HELP
- Contractors are responsible for having appropriate consent from their customers before sending messages
- Phone numbers are used solely for service-related transactional messaging
User Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information to customers in estimates and invoices
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction
- Not use the platform for illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purposes
- Maintain appropriate insurance and licenses for your trade
- Obtain customer consent before sending communications
Intellectual Property
- JobMargin and its features are owned by JobMargin LLC
- Your business data remains your property
- "Powered by JobMargin™" branding appears on Starter and Professional tier public-facing pages
Data and Privacy
Your use of JobMargin is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We implement security measures to protect your data. Data isolation ensures your business data is separate from other accounts.
Limitation of Liability
- JobMargin is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We are not liable for lost profits, data loss, or business interruption
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the previous 12 months
- We are not responsible for the accuracy of profit calculations — users should verify financial data independently
Termination
- You may cancel your account at any time
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
- Upon cancellation, your data is preserved in read-only mode
- Data deletion available upon request
Changes to Terms
- We may update these terms with 30 days notice
- Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
- Material changes will be communicated via email
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Disputes shall be resolved in Flagler County, Florida.
